BioRest®  "comfort by design"

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q:   Why have I not heard of this product before?

A:    This is a new product on the market...recently designed and developed and tested.

Q:  Why do I need the BioRest for my facility?

A:   The donor lounges/chairs that are used most often provide an armrest, but not one that is acceptable to hold the donors/patients arm stable so that sliding off the armrest is possible.  Besides the arm sliding on the armrests that are in use now, the BioRest will also prevent the arm from rolling back and forth.  The BioRest will prevent arm movement by the donor/patient.

Q:   Will the BioRest require a lot of practice by the staff in order to use it?

A:   No, once the arms of your particular donor chair are adjusted for it  (which should be a one time occurence), assuming they are adjustable, all one has to do is lay the BioRest on the arm of the chair/lounge, and lay the donors/patients arm in it.  A very simple procedure.

Q:   The website says it "protects" my investment...how does it do that?

A:   By using "makeshift" arm rests, which some companies do by just stacking blankets under a donors arm or just finding whatever is at hand to prop up the arm, you run the risk of an infiltration should the arm move thereby creating an incomplete product.  The time spent and products used to draw blood would be wasted.  That is your investment.  By not having "incompletes" it will save your company money.  For donor rooms that are dealing in blood products to lose that product  unnecessarily only decreases your bottom line. The BioRest will help prevent that scenario thereby saving you money.

Q:   What is it made of?

A:   The outside covering is a waterproof pvc vinyl that can be sprayed with whatever disinfectant your company uses, and just wiped.  The inner portion is a firm foam that is very comfortable.

Q:   Will it make our donors/patients more comfortable than what is presently in use?

A:   Yes, by stabilizing the arm in a non slip BioRest, there will be no slipping or movement of the arm that a donor has to worry about, or that you have to worry about either.  Whether its just drawing blood in a lab setting, or spending hours donating, the BioRest will make the procedure much more comfortable for the client and also safer and more productive at the same time.

Q:   Where can I buy this product?

A:   At the present time, directly from our company, either by ordering from this website, or calling our toll free number.
